Scofield Farms is a master-planned community of homes located close to I-35 and Mopac between Parmerand Howard Lane. The homes range in size from 1500-4500 square feet and the price range is from the $160's to the early $300's. The builders in this neighborhood are Weekley, Newmark , Hammonds (now Meritage) and Wilshire. All sections are finished out and there are currently only re-sale homes available for sale. The existing homes were built starting in 1992 up to 2002. Scofield Farm's location is very convenient. One can live in a newer home and still be in a desirable location in Austin. There are many major employers close by including: Dell, IBM, Samsung, Austin Diagnostic Center, UT Balcones Research Center, National Instruments and Time Warner. Stores close by include: Super Target, Super Wal-mart, Kohls, Home Depot, Lowes, HEB, and Randalls and a ton of restuarants. The neighborhood is separated in two different sections. There is Scofield Farms and the Park at Scofield Farms in one section and there is the Ridge at Scofield Farms in the other section. There is a neighborhood garage sale in the spring and fall, Easter Egg Hunt, Jazz in the Park, 4th of July Parade, National Night Out, Ice Cream Social, Halloween and Christmas Parties. There is an active board with four board members as well as committee chairs.
